Social Media
I was assigned to look at a local business’s social media strategy and develop a 30-day social media schedule to better reach their audience. The business that I chose was the Bama Flea Mall (BFM), an antique center located in Leeds, Alabama. BFM rents booths to community members to sell unique antiques and handmade items. They operate a 57,000 square foot building and can hold over 400 dealers.
Problem
Bama Flea Mall had four social media accounts with inconsistent posting schedules. I also noticed that they had little to no posts highlighting their many vendors or sales. Their current content did not engage their audience or inspire individuals to shop with the business.
Solution
To increase engagement and drive business to the vendors, I developed a content calendar curated for each platform. By including elements from the center, like the famous cardboard cutout of Nick Saban being placed at various booths and events, their audience is able to look forward to weekly content and discover new elements of the center they may have not been exposed to.
